Living the Four Agreements:
Manifesting Your Inner Peace and Prosperity.

My Brother told me about the book “The Four Agreements”, and because I always listen to my “big brother” I had to check it out!

The Four Agreements by don Miguel Ruiz, gives four simple principles to practice in order to create love, happiness and peace in your life.

Saying we can commit to these agreements is simple. Living and keeping these Four Agreements can be one of the hardest things you will ever do.

It can also be one of the most life transforming things you will ever do.

If you practice living these four practices/agreements your life will dramatically change.

In the beginning these new habits can feel really hard. When we start to question a habit or belief, it can REALLY be challenging. I know that. And the truth is, all old habits can be altered, and new habits accomplished in as little at 28 days. Just by taking “Baby Steps”

The reason, that our habits often do not change is because we lapse once or twice and give up.

However, by giving yourself permission to strive for excellence rather than being perfect, you will be able to integrate these agreements into your being and every area of your life, and they will become easy habits to keep.

The Four Agreements are:

  1. Be Impeccable with your Word:

Speak with integrity. Say only what you mean. Avoid using the Word to speak against yourself or to gossip about others. Use the power of your Word in the direction of truth and love.

  1.  Don’t Take Anything Personally

Nothing others do is because of you. What others say and do is a projection of their own reality; their own filters; their own environment; their own dreams. When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you won’t be the victim of needless suffering.

  1.  Don’t Make Assumptions

Find the courage to ask questions and to express what you really want.  Communicate with others as clearly and lovingly as you can to avoid misunderstandings, sadness and drama. With just this one agreement, you can completely transform your life.

  1. Always Do Your Best

Your best is going to change from moment to moment; it will be different when you are healthy as opposed to sick. Under any circumstance, simply do your best. Know that you are doing the best you can at “This Moment In Time”. That is the best we can do, ever! Give yourself permission and you will avoid self-recrimination, guilt, and regret.

Yes it can be that simple!
